This is the LOCALS edition of Alabama Hot Sauce. It is located in North Alabama on the beautiful Tennessee River. Alabama Hot Sauce is a small batch, artesian hot sauce producer. It is a new company, and when fully operational later in the spring, we will have about 12 different hot pepper sauces made in all of the sauce styles and the full range of heat intensities. Here in this community, I will be providing videos and blog links to interesting content on the art of making hot sauce. I hope to provide a little more than other channels, by diving into individual skill, methods, and techniques in more detail. Unlike other hot sauce channels, I will also be providing some in-depth
Just found this picture of the Fresno peppers used in the mash I am blending today. They tasted so good and fresh.
I am getting set up in the kitchen to blend another great Alabama Hot Sauce. Today I will be making a batch of Louisiana-style hotsauce from fermented Red Fresno hot peppers. To add a little heat punch, I will also be blending in a little Orange Habanero fermented mash. It is amazing what can be done with properly fermented peppers, high-quality fruit vinegar, and quality salt. This will be a very small home-processed batch that allows me to video and demonstrate how you can make this at home. Look for the video as soon as I get this edited. Thank you.
Interesting Note: The simple Louisiana-style hot sauce is the largest selling sauce style in North America. It is perfect on pork, beef, and vegetables. It is also great on eggs. Personally, I never eat pizza without a good Louisana-style vinegar sauce.
